After getting off to a rocky start on Friday, due to a plane delay at the airport, our con experience rocked.  Friday night we attended pre-registration and got first chance to buy stuff.  I picked up some photos, and T-shirts.  Then we spent some time chatting with other fans.  After that Teresa Fehn, and I were lucky enough to run into some fans with that night's episode on tape, so we collected T and went to watch it.  We also showed them the music videos, though it seemed to me that people were more impressed with them, after they saw them on the big screen the next couple of days.

Saturday morning we hung around the hotel, waiting for the festivities to start.  At 12:30 I changed into the John Crichton costume, that Todd had handmade, and had let me borrow.  I went in, walked around, and immediately started getting requests to have my picture taken by fans.  It was pretty cool.  They had some booths, for the card manufacturers, the DVD people (who gave out nice badges,) the toy company, and the official fan club, in addition to the merchandising tables.

Angie Nielson's thoughts on the opening of the CON:

We finally got into LAX about 3pm et. after a long flight delay due to hydraulic problems (yikes) we caught a shuttle to take us to our hotel at the Burbank Airport Hilton. The ride seemed to take forever, after an hour ride we finally settled into our room. Pre-registration was at 8:30pm. we get checked in and got first crack at the merchandise tables!  I bought an official con t-shirt, some pictures, a poster from the UK and a box of Farscape trading cards. I was surprised to get the Farscape skymotion card, the Zhaan costume card as well as the Ben Browder autograph card. I didn't think I'd get all three so I was pretty happy! I got all my shopping done for the weekend (I managed to save some money for food!!) Dave, Teresa and T. met a guy who had a copy of tonight's ep. so they all went up to his room to watch it. I decided to hang in the room and chill a little. They'll show the ep. tomorrow at the con so Ill catch it then.
